Wrinkle Reduction

Wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process that occurs when the skin becomes thinner, drier and less elastic, allowing lines and creases to form within. Genetics, smoking and excessive exposure to the sun can also lead to the premature aging of your skin.

There are several treatment options available to help eliminate or reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, such as topical retinoids and wrinkle creams, microdermabrasion, laser treatment, chemical peels, BOTOX®, fillers and more. While these procedures cannot completely reverse the effects of aging on your skin, they are often effective in minimizing the appearance of wrinkles through ongoing treatments.

Isolaz™ Treatment

Isolaz™ is an advanced intense pulsed light device used for several different applications that effectively improve the appearance, texture and tone of the skin. Isolaz is a fantastic advance in providing deep pore cleansing that aids in acne treatment and general skin appearance and texture without painful poking and squeezing of delicate pores.

How does it work?

The Isolaz procedure uses pulsed light with a vacuum to help extract dirt, blackheads, oil and more from the skin through gentle suction.

This treatment is most commonly performed on the face, although patients seeking clear skin on their chest, back, and shoulders may benefit greatly from pore cleansing in these skin zones also.

What happens during the Isolaz procedure?

The Isolaz procedure is performed in Dr. Prystowsky's office and usually takes just 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and location of the area being treated. No anesthesia is needed for this procedure, and most patients report little to no pain. Depending on the use of the procedure, effective results can often be achieved after one to three treatment sessions.

What are the results of the procedure?

After treatment, patients may experience mild side effects such as redness, crusting and discomfort. You can return to work and other regular activities immediately after treatment, as long as you feel comfortable enough to do so. Unlike other treatments, Isolaz does not cause sensitivity to light or other side effects that affect your ability to enjoy your regular activities.

Most patients are satisfied with the results of the Isolaz procedure and notice significant improvement to the appearance of their acne or clogged pores.

The Isolaz treatment is safe for all skin types, and is not associated with any major risks. Dr. Prystowsky will decide if this treatment is right for you after performing a thorough evaluation of your condition. Spider Vein Treatment

Spider veins, or telangiectasias, are small, thin, blood vessels visible beneath the skin. They appear most commonly on the face and legs, and may look like a series of lines, tree branches, or a spider- or web-like shape with a dark center. It is estimated that they affect nearly half of adult women in the U.S.

Spider veins are caused by a variety of factors, including heredity, pregnancy (and other conditions that involve changes in hormone levels), weight gain, long periods of standing, and certain medications. They often appear red or blue, and because they form on the face, thighs, calves and ankles, many patients are bothered by the way they look. Others seek medical treatment for uncomfortable symptoms such as aching, burning, swelling and cramping. The standard treatments for spider veins are sclerotherapy and pulsed dye laser treatments.
